The Lanaudière region is an incubator for musicians fed by tradition of Quebec involved for decades in the broadcast of the revival of our roots sound. In 1993 the four Castor musicians took their first flight! Their names Nicolas, Martin, Mathieu and Sebastien.This last, although very young is not in his first weapon having reached The Youth Lanaudière Symphony Orchestra as violinist at the age of five.
In their first year of existence, the first major commitment to take of the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, where they participate in a Youth Expo. Shortly after, they autoproduisent their first album they intitulent "Galant", referring to the song "Galant, tu perds ton temps" is one of the songs performed. In 1995, the quartet became a quintet with the arrival of Acadian ancestry accordionist Frederic Bourgeois, who proves to be a tireless foot percussionist. Having produced that year at the festival Mémoire et Racines, they go to the Festival Boréal in Sudbury. The following year, the group became the accompanist for the whole troupe Les Petits Pas Jacadiens.
