Alfred Hause - Romantic Classics (1969)
If there was a competition for the most bland looking record in the most ill-begotten genre that still delivers a genuinely pleasing audio experience this one would be a strong candidate. i picked it up because it's alfred hause (suggested by a friend) and i was glad i did. now classics with a beat generally make me run for the hills, but alfred has managed to turn each of these selections into a lush tango with harp, accordeon and lovely arrangements. great for dinner with that special someone.
I would be fun to have little concurrent post-athons with other blogs...i.e. unhip post-day, wacky post-day, obscure soundtrack post-day etc...
