Gli Strali di Cupido
Davide Amodio
Alberti, Giuseppe Matteo. Italian composer. He played the violin at S Petronio, Bologna, and was several times president of the Accademia Filarmonica. He composed chiefly instrumental works; his concertos, which had the most success (particularly in England), were among the first by an Italian to show Vivaldi's direct influence. He published twelve symphonies, which, being light and easy, were formerly much played in England. He also published, in 1713, ten concertos, in six parts, for violins.
