Thoughts (1978)

This is an interesting centerbury-jazz-rock album, i guess, at least has feels of those genres...
Fusion album includes elements from Canterbury to symphonic prog to heavy rock to psychedelic to jazz to folk to blues. Very diverse, sometimes they’re unpredictable. This is fusion repertoires with odd possibility of improvisation: choir, chant, interlude, folksound and the presence of flute and violin. The female presents folkish vocal and the male is presumed to copy Greg Lake style; both are good.
From the Kansas-tinged “Thoughts” that closed with happy-pop tune about ‘brain’. Tedious yet improvised keyboard-dominated “Businessman” that recalls me of UK. Story-telling “One Way Street” with its chaotic vibe ala King Crimson and closed with Canterbury jazzy ala Caravan. My most favorite is “We Got Time”, very persuasive and beautiful, a dynamic synchronization of vocal and instruments, a folk progressive gem. “Wasting Time” evokes me of Caravan when violin took its essential part and jazz vocal harmony kinda Manhattan Transfer, I guess, also gives room for drum kit to be busy for awhile. “Law Like Love” is blues rock in the realm of Scandinavian’s Ruphus. Its finale is “Tango Enough”, a heavy psychedelic sound.
