Here's a rarity: A newer-before-released early Fania All Star concert! That's right folks, this 1973 show from the Roberto Clemente Coliseo, that brought together 10,000 screaming Fania fans, is brought to light, here, for the first time. While some of these tracks showed up either edited or overdubbed on Live At Yankee Stadium, Vol 1 & 2 and on Latin-Soul-Rock, what we have here is the original, unreleased full and unedited versions of these classic performances. Emusica recently found these "missing" tapes in a storage room in Hudson, New York, and presto, we now have the salsa superband's debut performance in Puerto Rico.
With Johnny Pacheco, Larry Harlow, Bobby Valentin, Ray Barretto, Roberto Roena, Willie Colón, Yomo Toro, Barry Rogers and of course, the singers: Ismael Quintana, Cheo Feliciano, Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, Hector Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, Santos Colon and Justo Betancourt. Wow!
