The Chevrolet Theater is a beautiful facility with a wonderful staff that was reflected in tonight's Legendary & Mighty show. John the Revelator headed up the charge tonight and Time To Confess left a trail of tired dancers in its wake. Mid-set crested with an extended Gameface-> Mountain Jam-> Gameface that fell into an airy, yet dark No Quarter.
Brand New Angel stomped through the theater with a bass laden boot and may have been the best to date. Smokestack Lightning found itself in the middle of a world class Lay Your Burden Down, but the last half of the set got really interesting. Danny came back on stage at the end of Matt's Drums and concocted on the spot the aptly named AbtsaLouisly Jam that fed into The Other One Jam. I'm A Ram followed and contained Love Me Do, but not before a Get Up, Stand Up Jam bridged the gap between. Mule closed the set, but as experimentation was the theme of the night, tonight's Mule was teased with Thank You Falletinme Be Mice Elf in, out and around both Mule and the mandatory I've Been Workin'. The night was far from complete and the first of two encore songs displayed that with the introduction of Procol Harum's Whiter Shade Of Pale into the fold. The night ended with Donavon Frankenreiter and Eric Brigmond sitting in on That's What Love Will Make You Do. Tonight will easily go down in the Mule history books as one of the best shows to date, not only for its intriguing set list, but for the manner in which those songs were delivered.
