Legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia is the subject of this video about a unique and talented man. On this 57-minute tape Segovia performs three complete pieces and some excerpts of his exquisite music against a montage of the Spanish countryside in the late '60s. This documentary also includes a number of interviews with Segovia at his home and in some villages of his native homeland. This video is part insight through interviews, part performance, and part story. In one segment, a child and a donkey are featured for the piece "Platero and I," with Segovia reading in Spanish the poem from which the piece is derived. Classical music aficionados will appreciate this documentary about this talented man, his music, and his times.
