Sex Pistols - There'll Always Be An England
It's the Sex Pistols like you've never seen them before - the legendary punk band's first-ever authorized live DVD, THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND, presents their historic 2007 reunion concerts at London's 4,920-capacity venue Brixton Academy. The five frenzied shows (November 8, 9, 10, 12, 14) marked the 30th anniversary of the group's only studio album, the notorious Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols, which Rolling Stone has called “the Sermon on the Mount of English punk.”

'There'll Always Be an England' - named after Vera Lynn's stirring intro music - was recorded on Saturday, November 10th and
captures the energy and excitement of the band and the crowd. The whole of the classic 'Never Mind The Bollocks' album is performed,
together with a mixture Pistols cover versions, b-sides and even an impromptu crowd sing-along of 'I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside'.
This could only ever be the Sex Pistols.

The darkness brightens up and on stage bound The Sex Pistols. It is January 14th 1978, Winterland Garden, San Francisco.
The Sex Pistols, on their first major US tour, play their set.
Songs like God Save the Queen, Anarchy in the USA, Bodies, Holidays in the Sun and Pretty Vacant are blasted out.
Contempt is in the eyes of Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious is totally wasted and later revealed his bass wasn't plugged in.
The band play a tight a restrictive set which lasts just over 45 minutes.
The encore is the son No Fun, which from the look of the band was how they thought of the concert.
The song finishes and Johnny ends with the lingering words "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated...Ha Ha". The rest is history.
The following morning the band more or less officially split, and for punk the same was true.
When the Sex Pistols died, punk was not far behind. Buy this cassette as it is a priceless record of the only true punk band, all be it in their death throws.
Videos such as this one and the film The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle should keep die hard fans satisfied until The Filth and the Fury is released.
