Dozens of the best representatives of the British rock music performed at the festival under the name V-Festival. At the largest after the Glastonbury concert in the open air their programs win back Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Texas, Kaiser Chefs and Robert Plant, the newspaper Guardian.

V-Festival first held in 1996. It is sponsored by Virgin. For a long time for the festival were treated with a certain degree of disdain: the participation of giant corporations to organize a rock concert is contrary to the principles of freedom, a further statement in Woodstock, and continued in Glastonbury.
Nine years later, at V-Festival observed sell-out: Tickets sold out in record time, expects at least 180,000 spectators.
