Perimeter's key game play elements deliver a challenging and rewarding experience in both single and multiplayer environments. These elements include strategic terraforming to acquire resources, projecting an impenetrable perimeter force shield to protect from attack and combat unit transformation through manipulative nanomorph technology. Set in a future universe where Earth is dying, multiple civilizations are in a race against time to discover a new galaxy and colonize it for suitable living conditions. This epic journey shows players exploring new worlds as well as battling against other societies and indigenous species, all in an attempt to acquire energy and continue the search for a new home planet. Game play is built on territory seizure, where players terraform diverse alien landscapes in order to extract vital energy supplies to power structures, units and the perimeter force shield. For the first time in RTS gaming, the landscape is a tactical participant in combat and base development as players and indigenous natural forces fight to change the physical structure of the game world.

In Perimeter: Emperor's Testament, the stand-alone expansion to Perimeter, you will jump into battle against the Harkbacks. This 3rd person strategy game avoids many conventions of the RTS genre by focusing more on building and resourcing and less on actual fighting. You will be rewarded for interfering with your opponent's resource gathering and will have to keep your eyes open for the same happening to you. The game, like it's predecessor, also includes; "morphing" units, deformable terrain, and shield building. There are 25 missions in this expansion which is narrated via a complex storyline.

KDV Games studio recently finished their work on new sci-fi real time strategy Perimeter 2: New Earth and scene group Fairlight released the game few moments ago. I am not a big fan of sci-fi games and the graphic inteface doesn’t really look that good in this game, but it’s all about gameplay with strategies. The release size is fairly small, just around 2 gigs, so give it a try and see for yourself.

Perimeter II is a strategy game for fans of the Perimeter Universe who are willing and ready to know the truth about the fate of Exodus, Harkback and the Empire. The story of Perimeter II: New Earth follows the events from the original game. The Exodus, lead by the wise Spirits, have been searching for the New Earth. The Harkback have lost faith in the Spirits, overthrown their rule, and decided to head back for the Old Earth, not believing its death. Both sides took the final step on their way, but the chain has closed and mortal enemies entered the same planet face to face.

Ideas of territorial gameplay and landscape modification introduced in the original game are now realized on a new concept & technology level. The VistaGame Engine enhances the dynamics and depth of gameplay, turning the battlefield into an arena for the confrontation of two elements — ground and water.
