The authors formed the first group to show the efficacy of psychoeducation as a maintenance treatment and have a long history of performing bipolar psychoeducation.

Francesc Colom is a Senior Researcher at the Bipolar Disorders Program, IDIBAPS, Hospital Clinic Barcelona, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. DOB 22 June 1971. Eduard Vieta is Director of the Bipolar Disorders Program, IDIBAPS, Hospital Clinic Barcelona, and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Barcelona. DOB Jan 16 1963.
