Based on the Robert Louis Stevenson book of the same name, Kidnapped sees the heir to a modest fortune, David Balfour, sold into slavery and sent to the colonies. Fortunately, he meets and befriends a highland rebel, Alan Breck Stewart. Together the two escape dire circumstances and against the backdrop of the turmoil and aftermath of the 1746 Jacobite Scots rebellion against the English at Culloden, the two embark on a dangerous adventure as they journey back to Edinburgh in search of justice.
